Tucson Active Adult Communities

The city of Tucson has a large number of Active Adult (Retirement) communities and each have different characteristics and amenities that make them unique. There's sure to be something to fit your needs,  you just need to know what you like! 

Below I've provided a brief description of several Tucson Active Adult communities as well as links to their personal websites. If you have questions or would like more information please just let me know!

 

Sun City Vistoso by Del Webb - Located in Oro Valley with views of the breathtaking Catalina and Tortolita mountains, Sun City Vistoso has almost 2500 home sites on 1000 acres of land. This community really does have something for everyone. Here you'll find an 18 hole golf course, three recreation centers, an Olympic size pool, tennis, racquetball, shuffleboard, bocce ball, dance classes, billiards and a long list of other activities and clubs.    Sun  City is just North of Tucson, so it's close enough to have many services available but still quiet and serene.  As Sun City is an older community (most of the homes were completed by 1995) you'll find only resale homes available with prices between $200K-$500K.

SaddleBrooke  by Robson  - Located about 20 miles North of downtown Tucson and about 10 minutes North of Oro Valley, SaddleBrooke is situated in the beautiful foothills of the Catalina Mountains.  Though it's a little more isolated then other AA Communities, there are still many services within a 10 minute drive.  In SaddleBrooke you'll find an endless variety of activities, including two golf courses, tennis, softball, performing  and creative arts and much more. All three of the recreation centers/country clubs have been newly updated and are popular places for socializing. There are even onsite fire stations and paramedics,  and the new Oro Valley Hospital is only 10 minutes away.  In SaddleBrooke you'll find resale homes as well as new construction with prices ranging from $200K to $900K

Vistoso Village is a small, intimate neighborhood of 300 town homes. A gated community with energy efficient and low maintenance homes (HOA dues cover many services like water, garbage, sewer, cable, pest control and landscape), Vistoso Village  makes life easy for homeowners. Vistoso Village in located in Oro Valley and is close to golf, shopping and restaurants.  There's  a community clubhouse, two pools, a spa,   exercise room, billiards, and a library/computer room available for residents. In Vistoso Village you'll find resale homes priced between $200K-$300K.

Heritage Highlands  is located in the master planned community of Dove Mountain in Northwest Tucson. Situated in the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains, homeowners will find spectacular city and mountain views in this gated community of 1200 homes. At Heritage Highlands you'll find world class golf, tennis, a fitness center, a pool, spa and more. The community of Dove Mountain is continuing to grow and develop at a rapid rate, and the announcement that Ritz Carlton will be building it's largest resort and spa here will only increase interest in this area.  Retail development is under way surrounding Heritage Highlands, providing services and amenities within a mile from your home. You'll find resale as well as new construction construction homes with prices ranging from $200K to $700K

Sunflower Community by Del Webb is a community of 967 homes in Marana, just NW of central Tucson. Amenities include a community/social center where residents can enjoy  their choice of more then 50 groups and clubs as well as a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tennis, a computer room/library and more.  You'll find miles of walking and bike trails that allow you to keep fit while enjoying the always beautiful Southwest landscape and Tucson sunsets. Located in the master planned community of Continental Ranch,  you're just minutes from restaurants, shopping,  Interstate 10, the Pines Golf Club. In Sunflower you'll find resale homes priced between $200K- $$350K.
